Make Music Chicago 2014 registration is open NOW!
Sign up to join hundreds of fellow musicians in the fourth annual citywide Make Music Chicago festival on Saturday, June 21, 2014, celebrating everyone’s ability to make music. Find your fiddle, grab your guitar, warm up the vocal cords, or put the band back together for a day of FREE music-making across the city. Presented by Rush Hour Concerts, Make Music Chicago is part of the global Fête de la Musique, which includes 460 cities in 110 countries – the largest single day musical event in the world, occurring every year during Summer Solstice on June 21. Make Music Chicago is completely free and open to everyone, welcoming all instruments, musical genres, ages, and ability levels.
We’ve teamed up with One Solstice to provide exciting interactive matchmaking software to allow participants to find the right ”Make Music Match”. Artists will be able to search our comprehensive site listings and sign up for the site directly, while Sites will also have the ability to search the musician listings to book directly. We’re just getting started, so keep checking back in for more Venues and Artists to match with. Don’t worry, Make Music Chicago Staff will oversee all of the Artist and Venue profiles to be sure everyone finds a place to participate!

Help us Spread the Word!
Thanks to all the musicians, volunteers, venues, and everyone who came out to make music on June 21, 2013, bringing over 13 hours of music to Chicago at 180 performances in 40 venues! This year, we’re shooting for the stars and hope to have 160 sites for musicians to choose from. Here are some ways you can help us meet that goal:
If you are an artist and have a venue in mind, encourage them to sign up-we are always looking for more places to have music!
If you have a space you can offer for performances, sign up and allow Artists to sign up for performances, or search the listings to make your own match.
Tell your friends about Make Music Chicago 2014, we want to fill Chicago with as much music as possible on June 21st!
